Coverage Options

Coverage options, explained simply

Every family is different. Here's a quick look at the coverage I help with. We'll figure out together which one, or which combination, makes sense for you.

Term Life

Affordable coverage for a set number of years, such as 10, 20, or 30. If you pass away during the term, your beneficiaries receive a death benefit.

Good for: young families, homeowners, and anyone who wants the most coverage for the lowest cost while kids are growing or debts are being paid off.

Whole Life

Permanent coverage that lasts your entire life, with level premiums and cash value that grows at a guaranteed rate and can be borrowed against.

Good for: people who want lifelong protection, predictable payments, and a guaranteed benefit to leave behind.

IUL Indexed Universal Life

Permanent coverage with flexible premiums and cash value whose growth is tied to a market index, with a floor that helps protect against market losses.

Good for: people who want lifelong protection plus long-term, tax-advantaged cash value growth potential.

Final Expense

A smaller whole life policy designed to cover funeral costs, medical bills, and other end-of-life expenses so loved ones aren't left with the bill.

Good for: seniors and anyone who wants simple, affordable coverage, often with few or no medical exam requirements.

Mortgage Protection

Life insurance built around your mortgage. If something happens to you, the benefit can help your family pay off or keep up with the home. Some plans include living benefits for serious illness.

Good for: homeowners, especially recent buyers, who want to make sure their family can stay in the home.

Disability

Disability income insurance replaces part of your paycheck if an illness or injury keeps you from working, so the bills still get paid while you recover.

Good for: working adults and self-employed people whose families depend on their income.

Annuities / Retirement Annuities available too

Plan for retirement with annuities. They can grow your savings tax-deferred and turn them into a steady income stream you can't outlive, with options that protect your principal from market swings.

Good for: pre-retirees and retirees who want safer growth or guaranteed income in retirement.

FAQ

Common questions

Does the consultation cost anything?

No. Consultations are free, whether you have life insurance or not, and there's no obligation to buy anything.

I already have life insurance. Can you still help?

Yes. I'll review what you have, shop quotes, and see if we can save you money or get you better coverage for what you're paying.

How much life insurance do I need?

It depends on things like your income, debts, mortgage, number of dependents, and what you'd want covered, like college or final expenses. We'll walk through it together and land on a number that makes sense for you.

Will I need a medical exam?

Not always. Many policies offer simplified or no-exam options, depending on your age, health, and coverage amount. We'll look at what's available for your situation.

What's the difference between term and whole life?

Term life covers you for a set period and is usually the most affordable. Whole life covers you for your entire life and builds cash value, but costs more. Many people use one or a mix of both.
